Yangju City to Host Y-ROAD Integrated Job Fair on Thursday

Yangju City, led by Mayor Jeong Deok-yeong, will hold the "Y-ROAD Integrated Job Fair" at the Gyeonggi Textile Comprehensive Support Center on Thursday to help local companies recruit talent and assist job seekers in finding employment.

The fair runs from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. that day, with 30 companies participating — including local firms Cass Co. and Geumseong Bed — offering on-site interviews and recruitment consultations. Job seekers can review hiring information from each company and take part in interviews on the spot.

Yangju City will also operate the "Y-ROAD Matching Lounge," providing employment support programs that include AI-assisted cover letter consulting, AI mock interview coaching and job-function matching consultations. The lounge aims to help job seekers prepare and to facilitate better matches between candidates and employers.

Additional programs will cover resume photo shoots, interview hair and makeup services, personal color analysis, and tailored job policy consultations for different age groups.

Starting at 1 p.m., author Lee Nak-jun will deliver a special employment lecture in the below-ground-floor grand auditorium on the theme "In the Age of AI, Those Who Ask Questions Survive." The main fair will then run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the first-floor convention hall.

Song Mi-ae, head of the local economy division, said the city would strengthen on-site employment support "so that companies' hiring needs and job seekers' capabilities can be effectively connected," adding that she hoped many residents looking for work would attend.
