North Gyeongsang Technopark holds blood drive as summer donations decline

North Gyeongsang Technopark held a blood donation drive Wednesday at its main campus in Gyeongsan, North Gyeongsang Province, using a mobile blood donation bus to collect donations from employees and other participants.

The event was organized during the summer months, when group blood donations typically drop sharply and blood supply shortages become more acute.

Under a memorandum of understanding signed last year with the Korean Red Cross Daegu-North Gyeongsang Blood Center, North Gyeongsang Technopark also held a drive in March and plans to hold group blood donation events twice a year going forward.

The organization's volunteer club, Danbi Bongsa-dan, coordinated the event to allow employees, tenant companies, local residents and university students to participate conveniently and voluntarily aboard the mobile bus.

"We will continue to take part when blood donations are needed and work to provide meaningful support to the local community," said Ha In-seong, president of North Gyeongsang Technopark.
