Features proprietary instant-steam technology
Pulmuone Foods announced Thursday the launch of two fresh mandu products — a meat variety and a kkakdugi kimchi variety — that can be cooked directly in their packaging in a microwave.
The new products are tray-packaged versions of the company's popular frozen fresh mandu line, designed to maximize cooking convenience. They incorporate Steam Lock technology, which distributes steam evenly across each dumpling during cooking, along with a proprietary instant-steam method developed in-house.
Three minutes and 40 seconds in a 700-watt microwave delivers a moist texture all the way to the tips of the dumpling wrapper. The products are priced at 4,980 won.
Pulmuone plans to expand the fresh mandu lineup into various formats, including bundle and tray options. The original fresh mandu product, launched last September, surpassed 1 million units in cumulative sales within three months of its debut.
"We will continue to grow the fresh mandu category on the strength of differentiated product competitiveness," a Pulmuone Foods official said.
