Kyochon Food & Beverage, which operates Kyochon Chicken, said Thursday that it held its brand experience program "Kyochon 1991 School" on Aug. 24 at the Songjeong branch of Kyochon Chicken in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province, for 22 Vietnamese students and faculty members from the hotel culinary department of Andong Science University.
Kyochon 1991 School is the company's flagship hands-on cooking experience program. It launched for domestic customers in 2023 and expanded to include international tourists starting in 2024.
The event carried added significance as it was held at the Songjeong branch in Gumi, the city where Kyochon's history began. Participants attended a lecture tracing how Kyochon grew into a leading K-chicken brand and exploring Korean fried chicken culture, then took part in a hands-on session where they cooked chicken themselves.
"We will continue to expand opportunities for customers from around the world to directly experience Kyochon's unique flavors, cooking philosophy and brand values," a company official said.
