Actor Baek Jin-hee to wed Canada-based partner in January

Actor Baek Jin-hee, 36, is set to marry next year, her agency announced Monday.

Management AM9 said Baek will hold a wedding ceremony on Jan. 23. The event will be private, with only family members in attendance.

Her husband-to-be is an older professional living in Canada. After the wedding, the couple plans to split their time between Canada and Seoul.

The two met while Baek was studying English in Canada last year and began dating, eventually deciding to marry after a long-distance relationship.

Baek made her debut in the 2008 film "Looking for a Friend" and gained wider recognition through the 2011 sitcom "High Kick! Revenge of the Short Legged." She has since appeared in a range of productions, including "Ding Dong Gold," "Empress Ki," "Pride and Prejudice" and "My Daughter, Geum Sa-wol."

Earlier this year, she played a justice-driven reporter in the MBC drama series "The Judge Returns."
