Hyundai Motor, Kia and Genesis will offer free vehicle inspection services at service centers nationwide for three days from Sept. 21 to Sept. 23, the companies announced Tuesday.

The complimentary inspections are designed to help customers drive safely during the Chuseok holiday, when long-distance travel is common, by checking key components and functions ahead of the extended break.

Items covered include engine oil, brake fluid, coolant, battery, tire wear and air pressure, air conditioning, lighting, brake pads and windshield washer fluid.

Hyundai Motor and Genesis customers can visit any of 1,203 Blue Hands locations nationwide (excluding company-operated Hi-Tech centers), while Kia customers can visit any of 750 AutoQ locations (excluding company-operated service centers). Customers must present a free inspection coupon to receive the service.

Coupons will be available on a first-come, first-served basis from Wednesday through Friday via each brand's customer service app — myHyundai or HyundaiCertified for Hyundai Motor customers, Kia for Kia customers, and MYGENESIS for Genesis customers.

"We have prepared this free inspection service so that customers can drive more safely and comfortably ahead of the Chuseok holiday, when long-distance travel peaks," a company representative said. "We will continue working to improve vehicle inspection and service quality to repay our customers for their support."

Meanwhile, Hyundai Motor, Kia and Genesis have been actively working to promote safe driving, having previously offered a free summer inspection service at service centers nationwide in July ahead of the summer vacation season.
