The Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education will hold the "Vocational Education Fair: Specialized and Meister High School Festival" at EXCO West Hall on Wednesday and Thursday, targeting middle school students and their parents.
Now in its 11th year, the event is designed to give middle school students hands-on exposure to a range of vocational education activities and help them plan their career paths.
The venue will be organized into six exhibition and experience zones: a school zone, an experience zone, a corporate zone, a career counseling zone, a display area for outstanding works from the Future Convergence Technology Talent Competition, and a vocational education policy zone.
The school zone will provide information on the curricula, majors and club activities of 20 local vocational high schools. The corporate zone will feature eight leading local companies and the Daegu Industrial Complex Management Corporation, offering information on career paths after vocational high school graduation and details about participating firms.
"I hope this fair will serve as a meaningful opportunity for middle school students to explore their interests and aptitudes in depth and take their dreams as future professionals one step further," Daegu Superintendent of Education Kang Eun-hee said.
