Uljin-gun to offer free flu vaccinations starting Sept. 21

Uljin-gun in North Gyeongsang Province will begin free influenza vaccinations at 12 contracted clinics and hospitals in the county on Sept. 21, continuing through April 30, 2027, the county announced Sunday.

To prevent the spread of infectious disease, shots will be administered by priority, starting with high-risk groups including infants aged 6 months and older, pregnant women and adults 65 and older.

Residents are advised to check with their intended facility before visiting, as eligible recipients and remaining vaccine supplies vary by location.

All visitors to vaccination sites must bring a valid ID. Residents aged 15 to 64 who qualify under Uljin-gun's own support program must also bring a copy of their resident registration certificate to verify local residency.

Those eligible for the national free vaccination program — infants from 6 months of age through adults 65 and older — may receive shots at the 12 contracted facilities starting Sept. 21 on a rolling basis. Residents aged 15 to 64 covered under the county's separate program may be vaccinated starting Oct. 26 at local clinics, hospitals and public health institutions, including community health centers and branch clinics.
