Funds to support local welfare workers and vulnerable children
Program offers cultural activities including movies and sports events

Hyundai Motor Company and its union presented 50 million won ($36,900) to the Ulsan Social Welfare Council on Wednesday at a Social Welfare Day ceremony held at Ulsan City Hall's main auditorium.
"Culture Sharing Happy Invitation" is a flagship corporate social responsibility project run by Hyundai Motor's Ulsan factory that provides cultural experiences and opportunities for growth rather than simple material assistance.
About 500 people attended the event, including Ulsan Mayor Kim Sang-uk, Ulsan Metropolitan Council Speaker Lee Yeong-hae and Ulsan Social Welfare Council Chairman Oh Se-geol.
The funds will be used through October to give roughly 900 local social welfare workers and about 300 children from vulnerable households access to cultural activities, including movie screenings, local sports events, local exhibitions and a healing camp program.
Hyundai Motor has run the "Culture Sharing Happy Invitation" initiative since 2010, with cumulative donations now totaling 840 million won.
