Ulsan Buk-gu disabled swimming team wins 7 medals at national games

The Ulsan Buk-gu disabled swimming team won seven medals — four gold, two silver and one bronze — at the 46th National Sports Festival for the Disabled, held from Friday to Wednesday at the indoor pool of Jeju Sports Complex. The team also set three Korean records during the competition.

Oh Young-jun, 33, claimed gold in the men's 400-meter freestyle with a Korean-record time of 6 minutes 33.21 seconds and gold in the 200-meter individual medley with a Korean-record 3 minutes 20.28 seconds. He also added a silver in the 100-meter breaststroke with a time of 1 minute 39.17 seconds.

Kang Seong-ho, 31, set a Korean record in the men's 50-meter backstroke with a time of 28.38 seconds to win gold, then took another gold in the 100-meter backstroke with a winning time of 1 minute 2.02 seconds.

Lee Jae-eun, 33, contributed to the team's tally with a silver in the women's 50-meter breaststroke in 44.77 seconds and a bronze in the 100-meter butterfly in 1 minute 35.44 seconds.

Including this competition, the Ulsan Buk-gu disabled swimming team has collected eight gold medals, three silver and two bronze across various national tournaments this year.
