Korea Minting Corp. launches largest recent hiring drive with 59 openings

Korea Minting and Security Printing Corp. is recruiting 59 new and experienced employees to lead its transformation from a currency and security-product manufacturer into a digital public services company.

The state-run corporation announced Monday it will hire 57 new employees and two experienced hires for 2027. The new-hire intake has grown steadily — from 30 in 2024 to 54 in 2025 and 52 in 2026 — making the 57 slots next year the largest recruitment drive in recent memory.

The 57 new-hire positions break down as follows: 13 in administrative and administrative-technical roles, 30 in mechanical and electronic technology, 11 in information and communications technology (ICT), and three in research. The two experienced-hire positions cover marketing and ICT software research and development, one each.

Applications open Monday at 2 p.m. and close Oct. 2 at 2 p.m. New hires will go through a document screening, a written or practical examination, and interviews, with final selections announced in December.

Successful candidates will be assigned to major worksites in Daejeon, Gyeongsan in North Gyeongsang Province, Buyeo in South Chungcheong Province, and Seoul. They will serve a three-month internship before being evaluated and converted to permanent positions.

The hiring process follows a blind recruitment format based on the National Competency Standards. The corporation will apply regional talent quotas for relocated areas and non-capital regions, as well as gender-equal hiring targets. Veterans eligible for employment support, people with disabilities, and youth aging out of the foster care system will receive bonus points.

Final selections for the experienced-hire positions will be announced in November after document and interview screenings. The corporation plans to use the specialist recruitment to revitalize its cultural business and strengthen the competitiveness of its ICT platform operations.
