Hosandae partners with regional universities to train healthcare-AI talent

Hosandae held the 2026 AI App Creator Bootcamp at Kensington Resort in Gyeongju from Sept. 3 to Sept. 4, bringing together students from multiple universities to develop AI applications tailored to healthcare fields.

The event, organized by Hosandae, drew 30 participants — including students from the university's nursing, physical therapy and radiology departments, as well as radiology students from Daegu Catholic University — creating a platform for inter-university exchange and shared learning.

Students showcased projects that drew on their respective majors. The nursing team developed apps designed to address real clinical problems, including one called "IV Care," while physical therapy students built apps incorporating rehabilitation and health management concepts. Radiology students created tools such as a wrist X-ray simulator.

A competition followed, giving participants the chance to present their work and build on each other's ideas. The bootcamp received strong reviews, with an average satisfaction score of 4.84 out of 5.

Jeon Sang-hun, head of Hosandae's anchor project division, said the university would continue expanding programs that connect educational resources across regional universities and develop practice-ready, interdisciplinary talent suited to the needs of local industries.
