Gijang-gun announced Tuesday that it held a joint price-stability campaign at Gijang Market ahead of the chuseok holiday.
The campaign, held Monday, drew about 30 participants, including members of the Gijang-gun chapter of the Korea Women's Consumer Federation, the Gijang-gun chapter of the Korea Food Service Industry Association, and staff from the district's employment and economy division. The event aimed to crack down on price gouging for key chuseok goods, ensure compliance with country-of-origin labeling requirements, and create a stable pricing environment for residents and visitors through fair trade practices.
Participants walked through Gijang Market to promote price stability and the elimination of price gouging, distributing eco-bags printed with price-stability slogans to shoppers and merchants while urging them to embrace fair consumption and support efforts to keep prices in check.
