Starting Oct. 15 and running every Thursday through Nov. 19, the course covers everything from target audience design to fandom strategy and hands-on brand storytelling.
Jongno-gu is recruiting participants for "2026 AI Brandtelling," a six-week course designed to help residents build brand marketing and promotional skills using AI.
The course is part of Jongno-gu's lifelong education program supporting residents' continuing learning. It targets small business owners, job seekers and aspiring entrepreneurs interested in AI marketing, teaching them how to craft a brand's unique story and promote it effectively.
Classes will be held at the Jongno-gu Lifelong Learning Center — third floor of Korea National Open University's Yeollin Hall at 81 Iwhajang-gil — every Thursday evening from Oct. 15 through Nov. 19.
The district designed a tightly structured curriculum to maximize participant satisfaction.
The first week introduces the concept of AI brandtelling, while the second moves into hands-on practice — participants identify their brand's story assets and use a social big data platform to research customer reviews, trending issues and benchmarking keywords.
In the third week, participants define their core customers and design target groups based on their interests. The fourth week focuses on content creation, teaching how to reach customers effectively through keywords, tone, visuals and concept development.
The fifth week covers the structure of popular content. The sixth and final week explores AI's key portfolio functions and how to extend them into brand content, wrapping up the program.
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis through the Jongno Education Portal until Oct. 2. Jongno-gu residents will be given priority, with spots then opened to applicants from other areas. The course is entirely free, and applicants will be notified of their selection by text message.
"Creating a brand story is no longer the exclusive domain of large corporations," Jongno-gu District Mayor Yoo Chan-jong said. "We want to help local small business owners and young people preparing to launch careers or start businesses feel comfortable using AI so they can share their own stories more effectively."
