Nam Dong-heon wins gold in dressage at Asian Games, ending 12-year drought

South Korean equestrian Nam Dong-heon claimed gold in the individual dressage event at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, reclaiming the top of the podium for the first time in 12 years.

Nam scored 75.190 points in the individual dressage final held Sunday at Tokyo Equestrian Park in Japan, riding his horse Leonidas to finish first overall.

China's Yu Jiayi and Lao Jiayi took the silver and bronze medals, respectively.

The result marks South Korea's return to the top of the Asian Games individual dressage podium for the first time since the 2014 Incheon Games.
