Gumi holds budget meeting with North Gyeongsang Province lawmakers

Gumi held a meeting Monday at the city hall conference room to share key municipal agenda items and discuss strategies for securing provincial funding, with about 30 attendees including the mayor, senior civil servants and North Gyeongsang Province Assembly members representing local constituencies.

The meeting was organized ahead of the first regular provincial budget review of the ninth directly elected administration, aiming to strengthen cooperation between the city and the provincial assembly to advance key projects and secure provincial funding.

Gumi presented the direction and details of four flagship projects under the ninth administration: a traditional market renewal initiative, a revitalization program for alley-based local commerce, an expansion of the Gumi Station plaza, and an elementary school revitalization project in rural township areas.

"I hope you will serve as a strong bridge connecting North Gyeongsang Province and Gumi — from leaps forward in advanced industries to the revitalization of neighborhood commerce — all in pursuit of a Gumi-style municipal innovation that every resident can feel," Gumi Mayor Kim Jang-ho said.
