HD Art Center will present a recital by pianist Lim Yun-chan at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in its main hall, the second installment of the "World Class Classic Series with HD Hyundai."
Lim rose to international prominence in 2022 when he became the youngest winner in the history of the Van Cliburn International Piano Competition in the United States, claiming the top prize at just 18. He has since earned a wide following among classical music fans for his nuanced expressiveness and original musical interpretations.
The recital program draws from the heart of classical repertoire, featuring Mozart's Piano Sonatas Nos. 1, 6, 8 and 12, along with the Fantasia in D minor — a tribute marking the 270th anniversary of the composer's birth.
The "World Class Classic Series with HD Hyundai" continues Oct. 23 with a piano recital by Son Min-su as its third program.
