Sessions cover AI-powered data analysis and automation
LG Chem's Leadership Center provides training infrastructure
LG Chem held a generative AI training program for about 30 Army headquarters officers at its Leadership Center in Osan, Gyeonggi Province, last month, the company announced Thursday.
Participants learned the basic concepts and practical applications of generative AI, including how to use AI tools for data collection, analysis, visualization and workflow automation.
They also took part in hands-on sessions using AI agents and image-generation tools, gaining direct experience applying the technology to real workplace tasks.
LG Chem provided instructors, training facilities and accommodation at its Leadership Center to support the program.
Participants explored ways to boost productivity in administrative and planning work using a range of generative AI tools, and examined the practical potential of AI technology in military operations.
"As AI proficiency becomes an increasingly important driver of organizational competitiveness, we hope this training will help broaden the Army's foundation for AI adoption," an LG Chem official said.
LG Chem has maintained an exchange relationship with the Army's 1st Infantry Division since signing a sisterhood agreement in 2011, providing care packages and sponsoring unit events.
