'Space Goheung' completed as office and education, culture and experience center for national industrial complex tenants
A new multipurpose complex called Space Goheung has been completed in Goheung-gun, providing a community lifestyle and cultural space to support the county's growing space industry hub.
Located next to the Goheung-gun office, the complex supports research, business operations and networking for space industry companies while also serving as a lifestyle and cultural venue for local residents.
The building spans a total floor area of 3,070 square meters across one below-ground floor and four above-ground floors. The basement level houses Nuri Hall, a large conference room with 500 seats available for meetings, education sessions, performances, cultural events and community gatherings.
The first floor features a space virtual-experience book cafe and a promotional exhibition hall. The second and third floors are configured as shared office space, available to space launch vehicle companies and national industrial complex tenants for research and administrative work on a temporary basis.
The fourth floor has been developed as a lifestyle and cultural space, including a sky lounge, and will be open to residents and visitors for rest and leisure.
Goheung-gun Governor Gong Yeong-min said the complex would serve as "a solid forward base supporting the growth of companies, and a cherished space that instills pride in the space industry among county residents and young people."
