Expo venue experience to be linked with cruise and MICE tourism
Large cruise tourists visiting Yeosu will tour the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo site during their port calls.
According to the city of Yeosu, about 1,000 tourists aboard the Chinese-flagged Adora Mediterrania will arrive at Yeosu Port on Saturday (the 3rd) and Monday (the 5th), visiting the 2026 Yeosu World Island Expo site in Dolsan-eup's Jinmo district. On Monday, the Adora Magic City will also visit the expo site.
The city said it will focus on improving on-site convenience for cruise tourists, given their limited time in port, covering everything from entry and language interpretation to group transportation and payment.
"We will develop this into Yeosu-specific MICE content and link cruise tourism with local tourism," a city official said.
