The Daegu City Council announced Wednesday it will hold its 329th extraordinary session from Thursday through Oct. 19.
The council will deliberate on a total of 52 agenda items during the session, including 26 ordinance bills — covering new enactments and amendments — and 19 consent motions.
Key ordinance bills include a partial amendment to the city's disaster and safety management ordinance, a new ordinance on cost-sharing for disability pension benefits, and a measure to reduce and manage lifestyle odor nuisances in Daegu.
Standing committees will also conduct on-site inspections at several locations — including a construction site at Manchon Station's entrance, the Daegu Arboretum and the Third Industrial Complex Innovation Support Center — to review the progress of city administration projects.
The council will wrap up the session on Oct. 19 with a plenary session to take final votes on reviewed agenda items, followed by five-minute open-floor speeches across policy areas.
