Seongju-gun in North Gyeongsang Province held a meeting of its advisory committee on foreign resident support policy Wednesday at the Seongju-gun Office cultural lecture room to review the "2027 Foreign Resident Policy Implementation Plan."
The advisory committee on foreign resident support policy was established in March last year to provide consultation and review on support measures for foreign residents. It is chaired by the deputy county governor and comprises 13 members, including experts in foreign resident policy.
The 2027 foreign resident policy implementation plan sets out annual action plans under the Fourth Basic Plan for Foreign Resident Policy, establishing 19 detailed implementation tasks across five policy goals: economy, safety, integration, human rights, and cooperation and infrastructure.
The detailed tasks reflect a range of measures aimed at helping foreign residents settle stably in the local community — among them a region-specific visa program, a seasonal foreign worker program, and a social integration program.
"We will continue to support foreign residents in the county as they adapt to and settle into the local community through a variety of support measures," a Seongju-gun official said.
