Contract signed with Bloom Energy
Total orders from Bloom Energy surpass $500 million
LS Electric announced Tuesday that it signed a contract with Bloom Energy to supply switchgear and distribution transformers worth approximately $138.46 million (185.3 billion won).
The deal pushes LS Electric's cumulative orders from Bloom Energy past $500 million, roughly 18 months after the first contract was signed in April 2025.
The project involves fuel cell-based on-site power generation for a big-tech data center under construction in Pennsylvania. LS Electric plans to deliver 38-kilovolt high-voltage switchgear and distribution transformers as a packaged solution between April and July next year.
LS Electric has been accelerating its push into the North American AI data center market, leveraging its technical capabilities and ability to meet tight delivery schedules on large-scale projects. Earlier this month, the company signed a separate contract to supply 345-kilovolt ultra-high-voltage transformers worth $133.41 million for a large-scale AI data center project in North America.
To secure additional orders, LS Electric plans to build a locally integrated value chain covering sales, design, production and service, centered on its Utah facility and its Bastrop, Texas campus.
"This contract is a testament to LS Electric's technical expertise and project execution capabilities, as we were again recognized for our ability to supply large-scale switchgear and transformers as a package to a global big-tech data center," a company official said. The official added that the company would "further strengthen strategic cooperation with Bloom Energy and accelerate our push into the rapidly growing North American AI data center power infrastructure market, backed by our local production and service infrastructure and differentiated wiring solutions."
