County launches first employee video club to promote tourism, festivals and more
Employees of Damyang-gun in South Jeolla Province are picking up cameras to spread the word about the county's attractions and local government news through a new promotional video initiative.
The county is running a promotional video production club for the first time this year, tapping employees' ideas for its outreach work. Staff will identify their own subjects and take part in every stage — from planning and filming to editing — to deliver a wide range of Damyang stories in an approachable and vivid way.
The five selected teams will produce at least one promotional video per month through December, drawing on subjects that include Damyang's tourist attractions, festivals, culture and local agricultural products, as well as key county policies and lifestyle information.
The county held a meeting for participating employees at the Damyang County Office emergency operations center on Monday to share the club's operating direction and activity plans.
At the meeting, the county invited a video production expert to provide training on content planning and structure, as well as filming and editing techniques. Completed videos will go through a review process before being released on Damyang-gun's official SNS channels.
"When employees uncover Damyang's many stories themselves and bring them to life on screen, we will be able to connect with residents in a much more familiar way," a county official said. "We will use content that reflects our employees' ideas and individuality to showcase Damyang's appeal and broaden communication with the public."
