Mungyeong to host job and startup fair Wednesday

Mungyeong, North Gyeongsang Province, will hold the "2026 Mungyeong Job and Startup Fair" at the Mungyeong Indoor Gymnasium at 2 p.m. Wednesday, the city announced Friday.

Twenty companies will operate on-site booths offering one-on-one interviews and hiring consultations with job seekers.

An additional 10 companies will participate remotely, accepting application documents on behalf of candidates who meet their hiring requirements.

Counseling and promotional programs run in partnership with employment-related agencies will also be available, giving job seekers access to a wide range of information.

New this year, a startup promotion pavilion will offer consultations for residents considering launching a business. The pavilion will provide information on startup procedures, preparation steps and support programs, and will help aspiring entrepreneurs refine their ideas and map out a path forward.

The fair is open to any resident seeking employment or looking to start a business. For more details, contact the Mungyeong Job and Economy Division or the event organizing office.

"This fair is being prepared not only to fulfill its traditional role of connecting employers and job seekers, but also to offer practical assistance to residents who want to start their own businesses," a city official said. "We hope many residents will take an interest and participate."
