Bridgestone Golf-backed players win two consecutive KLPGA tour events
Lee Ye-won, sponsored by Bridgestone Golf, won the 20th S-OIL Championship on the KLPGA Tour, claiming her second victory of the season and her 11th career title.
Lee clinched the title at Elysian Jeju Country Club in Jeju, with the tournament concluding Sunday. The final round was played in punishing wind conditions — only four of the 68 players in the field, including Lee, finished under par.
According to Bridgestone Golf, Lee used the company's B-Forged irons and Tour B XS ball throughout the tournament. The Tour B series features dual-dimple technology designed to reduce air resistance and a Slip-Res coating that helps control spin.
At the earlier KLPGA Tour Iceberg Golf-Seoul Shinmun Open, fellow Bridgestone Golf-sponsored player Ma Seo-young claimed her first career victory in a playoff, using the Tour B X ball. The back-to-back wins gave Bridgestone Golf-backed players titles in two consecutive tour events.
Seokgyo Sangsa, the domestic retail distributor of Bridgestone Golf, said it plans to continue supporting Lee — whom it has backed since her junior days — along with its other sponsored players.
