North Gyeongsang Province will host five autumn festivals across the region in November, offering visitors a range of local food, culture and seasonal experiences.

According to the provincial government, the festivals will run from Wednesday through Nov. 21 across four cities and counties — Cheongsong, Gumi, Uljin and Pohang — with themes spanning apples, ramyun, seafood, Marine Corps culture and an international fireworks show.

The 20th Cheongsong Apple Festival opens Wednesday and runs through Sunday at Hyeonbiam along Yongjeoncheon Stream in Cheongsong-eup. Events include apple exhibitions and sales, cultural performances, an "Apple Olympics" featuring apple-stacking and long-peel competitions, a golden apple hunt and an aerobatic display by the Black Eagles.

The 5th Gumi Ramyun Festival takes place Friday through Sunday near Gumi Station, featuring a restaurant zone where visitors can sample a variety of ramyun dishes, a make-your-own ramyun experience and a global ramyun challenge drawing competitors from 13 countries.

Running concurrently at Jukbyeon Port in Uljin, the 6th Uljin Jukbyeon Port Seafood Festival will offer ocean-themed activities including bare-hand live fish catching, on-the-spot seafood auctions, fish-filleting demonstrations and a fishing boat parade.

On Nov. 14 and 15, the 2026 Pohang Marine Corps Culture Festival will be held along Haebingui-reo Street and at the Marine Corps 1st Division in Ocheon-eup, Nam-gu, Pohang. Planned activities include armored vehicle rides, military equipment exhibitions, a joint South Korean-US Marine Corps march and performances by a military band and honor guard.

Wrapping up the month, the 22nd Pohang International Fireworks Festival will light up the area around Yeongildae Beach from Nov. 19 to 21. Highlights include an international fireworks show on Nov. 21, a media facade display and a nighttime parade called the Night Carnival.

The provincial government said it plans to review safety management and traffic and crowd-control measures ahead of the festivals.

North Gyeongsang Province Governor Lee Cheol-woo said the province aims "to combine North Gyeongsang's outstanding food and unique regional culture and tourism content to showcase the appeal of K-tourism to the world."
