Debuts at KIEMSTA 2026
Successor to XU series with improved durability and convenience
Set for release next year
LS Mtron said Wednesday it will make the public debut of its new tractor model, the MT470, at the 2026 Korea International Agricultural Machinery and Materials Exhibition (KIEMSTA 2026), running Wednesday through Saturday at Daegu Exco.
The MT470 is the next-generation model in the company's bestselling XU series of 60-horsepower tractors and is scheduled for release in 2027. It inherits the proven chassis platform and transmission of the XU series while incorporating feedback from farmers to improve the design and overall ease of use.
The model also features a double-speed turn function to assist maneuvering in narrow fields, a design consideration tailored to domestic farmland conditions. An ultra-low-speed work function has been added for harvesting underground crops such as sweet potatoes and potatoes. Additional upgrades include a new hood design, LED lamps and an arched cabin to give operators a wider field of view.
LS Mtron also exhibited its MT9 autonomous tractor and EON electric tractor at the show, highlighting its vision for smart farming and electrification technology.
"The MT470 was developed to reflect the diverse working environments and needs of Korean farms," said Shin Jae-ho, president of LS Mtron. "We will make it the tractor Korean farmers reach for first, surpassing even the popularity of the XU series."
Meanwhile, KIEMSTA 2026 has drawn 433 companies from 25 countries, showcasing advanced agricultural technologies including autonomous farming machinery and agricultural robots.
