Applications accepted Monday through Nov. 12 ... open to newlyweds, prospective newlyweds and single-parent families
Winners announced Jan. 22, 2027; contracts and move-ins scheduled for March–April
Gangbuk-gu in Seoul is recruiting tenants for publicly subsidized housing in partnership with the Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation to ease the housing cost burden on households without homes and help them build a stable residential foundation.
Four units are available this year. Eligible applicants must be members of a household without a home residing in Seoul — specifically, newlywed couples married within the past seven years, prospective newlyweds who plan to complete their marriage registration before the move-in date, and single-parent families with children aged 6 or under. The household's average monthly income must not exceed 100 percent of the previous year's average monthly income for urban worker households.
Applications are open from Monday through Nov. 12, and an interior preview of the units will be held Wednesday through Friday. Applicants must submit the required documents by email to the designated officer within the application period. Full eligibility requirements and a list of required documents are available on the Gangbuk-gu District Office website under the tenant recruitment notice.
Winners will be announced Jan. 22, 2027. Results will be posted on the Gangbuk-gu District Office website and sent to applicants individually by text message. Unit assignments will be made Feb. 17, determined in descending order of score based on final priority rankings. Contracts and move-ins will proceed from March through April 2027, with contracts to be signed at the purchased housing supply division on the first floor of the Seoul Housing & Communities Corporation.
"We will continue working to help newlyweds and single-parent families without homes reduce their housing costs and build a stable foundation for their lives," Gangbuk-gu District Mayor Jeong Chang-su said.
