Air conditioner category added to survey last year
AI remote diagnostics resolve issues for 60% of customers without a service visit
'Samsung AI Subscription' Blue Pass customized service expanded
Samsung Electronics Service announced Wednesday that it ranked first in the air conditioner after-sales service category of the 2026 Korean Standard-Service Quality Index (KS-SQI), administered by the Korean Standards Association.
The air conditioner after-sales category was introduced last year. Samsung Electronics Service claimed the top spot in the inaugural survey and retained it this year. In this year's assessment, the company earned the industry's highest scores across key evaluation areas, including service quality, customer service reliability and social contribution.
High customer satisfaction with the Blue Pass service — part of Samsung Electronics' "Samsung AI Subscription" home appliance subscription offering — was also a key factor behind the first-place finish in the air conditioner after-sales category.
Samsung Electronics Service also claimed a string of top rankings in major service quality evaluations this year. The company took first place in the service center category of the "Most Admired Companies in Korea" survey in February, followed by the top prize in the home appliance after-sales category of the National Service Award in June. In July, it ranked first across the home appliance, mobile phone and computer after-sales categories in the KS-SQI, the National Customer Satisfaction Index (NCSI) and the Korean Service Quality Index (KSQI).
Samsung Electronics Service has been enhancing customer convenience through AI-powered remote diagnostics and preventive inspections. Using SmartThings-based home appliance remote monitoring (HRM), the company resolves issues remotely without requiring a technician visit.
Through October this year, six out of every 10 customers who received remote air conditioner consultations resolved their issues without an on-site service call.
The company also ran a preventive inspection campaign ahead of summer, when air conditioner usage surges. To minimize customer inconvenience, it expanded its engineer workforce by more than 50 percent.
Samsung Electronics Service has also been expanding its Blue Pass service for customers enrolled in "Samsung AI Subscription," the company's home appliance subscription program.
The Blue Pass lineup includes "AI Pre-Care Alerts" that detect and flag early signs of product abnormalities, an after-sales fast track for expedited service requests, and a "One More Service" option that provides complimentary inspections of other Samsung Electronics products during a technician visit. The lineup has recently been expanded with tailored offerings for newlyweds and senior customers.
Samsung Electronics Service also dispatches special service teams to disaster sites — including flood and wildfire zones — to provide free inspections, cleaning and repairs of home appliances.
"We are sincerely grateful to our customers for recognizing us as No. 1 in the air conditioner after-sales category of the Korean Standard-Service Quality Index for two consecutive years," said Kim Young-ho, president and CEO of Samsung Electronics Service. "We will continue to put customers first and strive to deliver ever more reliable service."
