Four special products for faculty, spouses, parents and children
Pay-after-service model with no monthly premiums
Deal builds on existing ties with Boram Hallelujah table tennis team
Boram Carnegie, a business-to-business funeral service company under Boram Group, announced Wednesday it has signed an employee welfare MOU with Mokwon University.
Under the agreement, signed at Mokwon University in Daejeon on Oct. 27, faculty and staff — along with their spouses, parents from both sides of the family and children — will have access to Boram Carnegie's specially discounted funeral service products.
The offering comprises four products, all structured on a pay-after-service model that requires no monthly premiums. When a funeral occurs, customers use the service first and settle the cost afterward, paying by cash or card once they have reviewed the itemized service record.
The MOU grew out of an existing relationship between Mokwon University and Boram Hallelujah, Boram Group's professional table tennis team. The two sides signed a community-contribution and event-promotion agreement in May and have since co-hosted activities including a "Sarang-ui Saemteo" charity event supporting international and multicultural students.
Boram Carnegie has recently signed similar funeral service agreements with the Seoul Metro Environment Branch and Seoul Urban Railway Green Environment Branch of the National Environment and Labor Union, as well as the Daewoo Engineering & Construction branch of the National Construction Industry Workers' Union.
"We will make sure that Mokwon University faculty and their families can access funeral services even in sudden, unexpected situations," said Kim Gyeong-gon, chief executive of Boram Carnegie.
