12,300 subscribers within one year of launch
'A day in the life of a 16-year PB' video draws 340,000 views
Hanyang Securities announced Wednesday that its official YouTube channel, "HY Hanyang Securities," has surpassed 10,000 subscribers — reaching 12,300 within one year of its launch.
A video titled "A day in the life of a 16-year PB," released Sept. 21, has drawn 340,000 views and 171 comments. The video follows Kwon Chung-hyun, a director at the Yeouido PWM Center, through a typical workday — from client consultations to asset management duties — offering an unfiltered look at life on the brokerage floor.
The channel also features investor education content. Representative series include "Leverage Investment Caution," which examines the structure and risks of single-stock leveraged products; "Hanyang Dictionary," a financial literacy series covering the history of securities markets and general money knowledge; and "Hanyang Securities LAB," an investment Q&A series presented in a laboratory format. The content is designed to make financial information accessible to a general audience.
Corporate culture content featuring Hanyang Securities employees is also part of the lineup. A series called "Yeouido Break Room," in which staff share workplace stories, and a brand film marking the company's 70th anniversary introduce the people behind the firm as well as its growth and future vision.
"In an era when channels with more than 1 million subscribers are commonplace, 10,000 may not sound like a large number — but for us, it is a meaningful milestone," a Hanyang Securities official said. "Every piece of content is planned and produced entirely in-house, without outside production companies, so we pour our heart into each one. We will continue to tell Hanyang Securities' own story with sincerity and keep the conversation going with our customers and prospective customers."
Hanyang Securities has been expanding its digital communication channels, including the launch of an official account on the short-form video platform TikTok in June.
