The two agencies signed an MOU in Jeonju to strengthen internal controls and auditor expertise, and to share best practices in proactive administration and pre-consulting audits.
Korea Human Resources Development Service and the National Pension Service have agreed to collaborate on developing AI-based digital audit techniques. The two agencies also plan to strengthen internal control capabilities and expand pre-consulting audits, in which audit bodies are consulted before decisions are made.
HRD Korea announced Wednesday that it signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Pension Service at the pension agency's headquarters in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province, to promote the exchange of audit practices and capacity building between their internal audit bodies.
Under the MOU, the two agencies will jointly develop AI-driven digital audit methods and exchange personnel to enhance the expertise of their audit staff. They also plan to share best practices in proactive administration and pre-consulting audits.
Kwon Tong-il, standing auditor at HRD Korea, said the agreement is expected to serve as a meaningful opportunity to explore new directions for audit work, drawing on the experience and knowledge the two organizations have accumulated.
