Bithumb launches points giveaway tied to 'SSG Day' promotion

Bithumb announced Wednesday it will run a "Bithumb Investment Support Festa" promotion in conjunction with the "SSG Day" national shopping event, offering Shinsegae Points members coupons redeemable on the cryptocurrency exchange.

The promotion runs through Sunday, with all participating customers receiving a random allotment of Bithumb points ranging from 100 to a maximum of 1 million points.

Additional benefits are available for customers who agree to a new Bithumb partnership enrollment. All users who complete the new partnership agreement during the event period will receive a flat 1,000 Bithumb points.

Bithumb and Shinsegae currently operate a joint service that allows customers to earn 1 percent of their purchase amount in bitcoin when accumulating Shinsegae Points at E-mart, Traders, No Brand and E-mart Everyday.

Bithumb plans to expand its bitcoin rewards network to include the convenience store chain E-mart24 before the end of the year, broadening its everyday touchpoints with customers.

Meanwhile, Bithumb recently launched a new YouTube series called "Gasang Jasan Hullyeonso," a virtual asset training program, in collaboration with virtual YouTuber "Nunung-ji."
