Nowon-gu District Mayor Seo Jun-o attended a donation ceremony Friday at the district mayor's office, receiving contributed goods from sponsoring organizations and expressing gratitude to those involved.
The ceremony was jointly sponsored by the Dobong Driver's License Examination Center and the Life of the Dudlerun Association, with a total of 10 million won ($7,450) worth of goods to be distributed to local children's centers and households with vulnerable children in the district.
Of that amount, 5 million won worth of items — including refrigerators, sterilizers and children's backpacks — will go to the Wolgye Local Children's Center, while another 5 million won worth of food packages containing ramyun, dried seaweed, tuna and Spam will be delivered to 122 households served by local children's centers.
"I extend my deepest gratitude to the Dobong Driver's License Examination Center and the Life of the Dudlerun Association for this meaningful act of sharing for those in need," Seo said. "The district will spare no effort in providing support and administrative resources so that children can grow up healthy and happy."
