Construction Mutual Aid Association, Yulchon sign MOU to build fatal accident prevention service

The Construction Mutual Aid Association signed an MOU with law firm Yulchon on Wednesday to establish a serious accident prevention and response service for construction sites.

Key officials from both sides attended the signing ceremony, including Bong Young-geun, head of the association's financial business division, and Jeong Yu-cheol, co-director of Yulchon's Serious Accidents Center. The two organizations plan to combine the association's expertise in finance and mutual aid with Yulchon's specialized legal knowledge to minimize management risk for member companies.

Under the agreement, the two organizations will work closely together on building a serious accident prevention, safety management and incident response service for construction sites, exchanging information on the latest court rulings and legislative developments related to serious accidents, and developing areas of cooperation that draw on each organization's expertise.

Yulchon said it would provide optimal legal services to help member companies operate stable occupational health and safety management systems, drawing on the firm's extensive experience and know-how in the serious accidents field.

An association official said the organization would continue to explore a range of support measures to prevent accidents at construction sites and promote a culture of safety.
