District-wide education aims to deepen understanding of the information disclosure system and sharpen practical response skills, covering real-world cases including repeat requests and inter-agency transfers
Seongbuk District Office in Seoul held an information disclosure capacity-building education session for all staff on April 28 at Seongbuk Art Hall on the fourth floor of the district office.
The session was designed to deepen employees' understanding of the information disclosure system and strengthen their practical skills in handling a wide range of disclosure requests.
Kim Jo-eun, an instructor from the Information Disclosure Center for a Transparent Society, led the training. The curriculum covered the overall operation of the information disclosure system, methods for processing high-volume requests, third-party opinion consultations, closing procedures for repeat requests with identical content, and inter-agency transfers — all drawn from cases that staff commonly find challenging on the job.
The session ran in both in-person and live-streamed formats, drawing 943 participants — up from 757 the previous year.
A district office official said the district would consistently pursue information disclosure capacity-building education to improve residents' satisfaction with the disclosure process.
