The Seoul Business Agency (SBA), led by CEO Kim Hyun-woo, is accepting applications through May 11 from companies wishing to participate in its consumer response testing and market validation program. The program supports small and medium-sized enterprises preparing to launch new products and services. Applications are available through the SBA website.

Selected companies will receive venue space — in the exhibition lobby or the garden-style lounge known as the Setec Garden — at up to two SETEC exhibitions of their choosing. There, they can introduce and demonstrate their products and services directly to exhibition visitors, gather consumer feedback and validate their offerings before a full market launch.

There are no restrictions on the type of product or service, and any company with a product suitable for on-site consumer testing is eligible to apply. Companies will be selected based on the suitability of their product for consumer testing within the SETEC facility and the technological innovation and demonstrability of their product or service.

Choi Gwang-sik, head of SBA's Infrastructure Division, said the program's primary aim is to leverage SETEC's spaces, facilities and annual visitor base of 1.3 million to give promising small and medium-sized enterprises a chance to validate their products and services before entering the market. "We expect this to contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises based in Seoul," he added.
