The Seoul Metropolitan Government is significantly strengthening enforcement of designated pigeon-feeding ban zones starting Sunday. Anyone caught feeding feral pigeons in a restricted zone faces a fine of 200,000 won ($133) for a first offense, 500,000 won for a second, and up to 1 million won for three or more violations. A sign prohibiting pigeon feeding stood at Gwanghwamun Square in Seoul on Sunday morning.
