According to the district, a job posting for Grade Na part-time term-limited civil servants — covering positions for a policy development specialist and a communications policy specialist — was listed on the Seongdong-gu Office website's job announcement board for 10 days, from May 23 to June 2, 2024, ahead of the July 2024 hiring.
A separate posting for a Grade Ga part-time term-limited district administration planning specialist, hired in October 2025, was also confirmed as publicly listed on the same board for 10 days, from Sept. 8 to Sept. 18, 2025.
The Seongdong-gu Office website's job board operates on a system that allows posting periods to be set in advance. The Grade Na posting was configured to remain visible through June 2, 2024, and the Grade Ga posting through Oct. 2, 2025; both have since expired and are no longer displayed on the website.
Seongdong-gu also addressed questions related to data published on the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Open Data Plaza under the title "Seongdong-gu Office Website Job Posting Information."
The district said that data is periodically collected and provided by Seoul Metropolitan Government systems, not directly managed by Seongdong-gu, and that it therefore has limited ability to verify the precise collection method, update criteria, or data-reflection structure.
"It is not appropriate to judge whether a job posting was actually published based solely on whether it appears in the Seoul Open Data Plaza data," a district official said. "The posting history confirmed through the Seongdong-gu Office website's administrator screen is a more objective and direct basis for determining whether a job announcement was in fact made."
The official added: "The job postings in question were properly listed on the Seongdong-gu Office website's job announcement board for the designated period, and the relevant posting history has been confirmed. We ask that allegations inconsistent with the facts be stopped."
