Chilgok-gun candidate Kim Jae-wook urges voters to cast ballots ahead of June 3 local elections

Kim Jae-wook, the People Power Party candidate for Chilgok-gun county chief, called on residents Monday to turn out for Tuesday's local elections.

"To build on the changes and growth of the past four years and deliver even greater results, we need the support of Chilgok residents," Kim said. "Please make sure to cast your vote."

Kim also laid out five campaign pledges, including a major transformation of Chilgok's agricultural sector, a child-friendly community initiative and a "Lucky Chilgok" residential quality-of-life program.

"To create a Chilgok where good companies and jobs grow and young people come back, I will accelerate the development of the Buksam-Opyeong industrial complex and step up efforts to attract businesses," Kim said. He added that he would expand youth housing projects and job support policies to build an environment where young people can plan their futures and put down roots.

Kim also pledged to pursue policies aimed at raising residents' quality of life — including building a city where it is easy to raise children, improving education and childcare, revitalizing the old downtown through the Waegwan New Deal 3.0 initiative, and strengthening cultural tourism competitiveness. "I will listen to residents with a more humble attitude and repay their trust with results they can feel," he said.
