Company seeks to raise $75 billion in what would be the largest IPO in history
SpaceX, Elon Musk's space company, has secured roughly $150 billion (about 234 trillion won) in investor demand for what would be the largest initial public offering in history — nearly double its fundraising target.
Reuters reported Thursday that the SpaceX IPO was oversubscribed. The company plans to raise $75 billion through the offering.
However, the figures do not represent final demand, meaning the total could change before pricing is confirmed next week. Large institutional investors typically submit orders in the final stretch of an IPO process.
Meanwhile, SpaceX — widely regarded as the marquee listing of the year — is set to debut on the Nasdaq on June 12. The company is valued at approximately $1.75 trillion.
