Cheongdo-gun in North Gyeongsang Province won an excellence award at the North Gyeongsang Province Agri-Food Export Policy Evaluation, held June 5 on the sidelines of the 2026 North Gyeongsang Agri-Food Expo opening ceremony, marking the county's second consecutive year receiving the honor.
The evaluation assessed the 2025 agri-food export policy performance of all 22 cities and counties in North Gyeongsang Province.
Cheongdo-gun received high marks for its efforts to expand exports of locally grown specialty agricultural products and develop new overseas markets.
The county consistently improved its export earnings by strengthening collaboration with local farms and businesses, diversifying export items, and supporting overseas promotions and marketing.
"This award is the result of the combined efforts of local farmers, export companies and the county administration," said Kim Dong-gi, deputy county chief of Cheongdo. "We will continue working to strengthen the competitiveness of Cheongdo's agri-food products and expand into overseas markets."
