Curriculum covers commercial district analysis and AI-powered marketing
Seoul's Jungnang-gu announced Monday it will run the "2026 Jungnang-gu Small Business Startup Academy" to strengthen the entrepreneurial capabilities of aspiring founders and small business owners.
Jungnang-gu launched its startup academy for small business owners in 2019 and also operates a separate "Youth Startup Academy" to support young residents seeking employment or entrepreneurship.
The small business startup academy is a training program jointly developed by Jungnang-gu and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation, focused on building the practical skills that residents preparing to start a business and existing small business owners need.
The curriculum covers startup funding and guarantee support systems, small business support projects, commercial district location analysis and application, AI-powered online marketing, smart store operations, and the basics of business taxation — all practical, hands-on courses covering the full range of what it takes to launch a business.
The program is open to aspiring entrepreneurs preparing to start a business and small business owners considering a change of industry, with 40 spots available.
Classes will be held June 24-25 at the open education hall of the Jungnang Startup Support Center. Residents wishing to participate can apply through the Seoul Small Business Academy website by June 22.
"We have put together an education program to provide practical information needed throughout the startup process, so that aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners can launch and grow their businesses on stable footing," Jungnang-gu Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi said. "We will continue to offer diverse support to invigorate the local economy and strengthen the competitiveness of small businesses."
