Korea Donggrami Partners visits stray dog shelter with donated supplies

Korea Donggrami Partners, a subsidiary-type standard workplace for people with disabilities under the Korea & Company Group, visited an abandoned animal shelter to deliver donated supplies and conduct volunteer activities.

The company announced Monday that it visited LCKD, a stray dog shelter in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, on June 5 for an employee-led community service program.

More than 10 employees took part in the initiative, which was organized to promote a culture of respect for life and encourage community giving.

Employees delivered used towels and blankets collected through an internal campaign, along with pet food donated to support the care of the animals. All participating staff also took part in a voluntary drive to donate one towel each.

After handing over the donated items, participants helped tidy the shelter — cleaning living spaces and taking stray dogs out for walks so the animals could enjoy more comfortable conditions.

As the number of pet-owning households grows, so does the care burden on abandoned animal shelters. The company's move beyond one-time donations toward direct on-site engagement has drawn attention as a model for hands-on corporate community involvement.

"Through this volunteer activity, in which our employees participated together, we were able to reflect once more on the value of giving," a Korea Donggrami Partners official said. "We will continue to pursue a wide range of community service programs as a company that grows alongside the communities we serve."

Meanwhile, Korea Donggrami Partners operates ESG (environmental, social and governance) initiatives and community contribution programs aimed at expanding employment opportunities for people with disabilities and realizing broader social value.
