Dealers, influencers from 8 Latin American nations attend
Country-by-country conferences address second-half strategy
KG Mobility (KGM) is accelerating its push into Latin America, holding a global launch event for its Musso pickup truck in Chile following an earlier launch in Türkiye.
KGM said Monday it hosted the Musso global launch event in Santiago, Chile, on June 4 and 5. More than 100 dealers and influencers from eight Latin American countries — including Chile, Colombia and Costa Rica — attended.
Participants took part in test drives and product briefings, experiencing the Musso's driving performance and ride quality firsthand. KGM also held country-specific conferences to discuss second-half business plans and key issues in major markets. The company gathered feedback on product improvements and discussed regional marketing strategies.
Chile is considered a high-demand market for pickup trucks given its industrial structure and geography. Locally, pickups are seen not merely as commercial vehicles but as multipurpose vehicles that serve both work and everyday life.
"In Chile, the largest pickup market in Latin America, pickup models account for roughly 20 percent of the total auto market as of 2025 — a core segment," a KGM official said. "We will strengthen cooperation with local dealers and expand sales, leveraging the Musso's competitiveness in meeting the needs of Latin American consumers who value practicality."
Meanwhile, the KGM Musso is a midsize pickup designed to appeal to both traditional off-road enthusiasts and urban lifestyle drivers. Available with 2.0-liter gasoline and 2.2-liter diesel engines and a range of bed and suspension configurations, the model pairs a classic pickup image with the latest safety and convenience features.
