Hoban Construction began accepting apartment subscriptions Monday for Hoban Summit Yangjae, a youth housing complex near Yangjae Station in Seoul's Seocho-gu.
Hoban Summit Yangjae will comprise a single building with seven below-ground floors and 17 above-ground floors, offering 224 units with exclusive use areas ranging from 23 to 54 square meters. Of those, 138 units will be offered as publicly supported private rental housing.
The unit breakdown by exclusive use area is as follows: 19 units at 23 square meters, three at 40 square meters, four at 45 square meters, 32 at 46 square meters, 64 at 51 square meters and 16 at 54 square meters.
The subscription period runs from Monday through Wednesday, with winners announced Friday. Contracts are scheduled to run from June 24 through June 27, following a verification process for eligible applicants.
The complex is located near Yangjae Station, served by subway Line 3 and the Sinbundang Line. The GTX-C line is also slated to open in the area, and plans for a multimodal transit hub are underway.
Nearby amenities include Costco, E-mart and other retail facilities, as well as Seocho District Office, Seocho Culture and Arts Center, KEPCO Art Center and Gangnam Severance Hospital. Residents will also have access to green spaces including Maljukgeori Park, Yangjae Stream and Maeheon Citizens' Forest.
Select unit types will feature walk-in closets and three-room layouts. All units come equipped with standard home appliances, including an air conditioner, refrigerator, washing machine, cooktop and microwave.
Communal amenities planned for the complex include a fitness center, group exercise room, small library, seasonal storage, shared laundry room and children's play facilities.
As a publicly supported private rental housing development, residents may stay for up to eight years, and applications are open regardless of housing subscription account tenure or accumulated points. All units are enrolled in Korea Housing Finance Corporation (HUG) deposit guarantee insurance, securing deposit protection for tenants.
The project's official website offers virtual reality tours of select units, and a promotional center is operating at the on-site commercial space.
