Brand cements China foothold after winning Douyin rising brand award
CELLINFFECT, a high-performance beauty brand operated by Daily Labs, announced Monday that a live broadcast with Chinese influencer "Dada" generated more than 1 billion won ($648,000) in sales.
Dada, who has 11 million followers on Douyin — the Chinese version of TikTok — hosted a "Korean sheet mask special" broadcast on Saturday. CELLINFFECT joined the lineup alongside popular sheet mask brands including Isntree, Beplain, Baru Lab and Fully.
The brand's Triple Deep Care Pack drew a strong response from Chinese consumers the moment the broadcast began. Total sales from the session reached approximately 4.58 million yuan, or about 1.05 billion won ($677,000).
The result points to growing consumer trust in CELLINFFECT's product quality in the Chinese market. The brand has recently drawn attention as a K-beauty label in China and received a Rising Brand Award on Douyin.
CELLINFFECT said it plans to continue expanding collaborations with prominent Chinese influencers and a range of channels to further solidify its presence in the Chinese market.
Kim So-hyeon, director of brand development at CELLINFFECT, said the partnership with Dada allowed the brand to effectively communicate its product quality to Chinese consumers. "We will work to elevate the standing of K-beauty while building our position as a brand that Chinese consumers trust," she said.
