Seoul's Jungnang-gu announced Monday it will run the "2026 Jungnang-gu Small Business Startup Academy" to help aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners build their startup capabilities. The district, led by District Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi, has offered the startup academy for small business owners since 2019 and also runs a separate "Youth Startup Academy" to support young residents seeking employment or entrepreneurship. The small business academy curriculum covers commercial district analysis and application, AI-based online marketing, and smart store operations. The program targets aspiring entrepreneurs preparing to launch a business and small business owners considering a change of industry, with 40 spots available. Classes will be held June 24-25 at the open education hall of the Jungnang Startup Support Center, and residents wishing to participate may apply through June 22 via the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Small Business Academy website.
