Planning, funding and risk specialist to oversee government-entrusted funds and digital transformation
The Export-Import Bank of Korea announced Tuesday that Lee Dong-hoon, head of its risk management division, has been appointed as the bank's new standing director.
Born in 1969, Lee graduated from Seondeok High School and Korea University. He is a specialist in planning, funding and risk management, having held a range of senior positions at the bank, including head of the risk management division, head of the inter-Korean cooperation division, head of the planning department, head of the capital markets unit and head of the public relations office.
In his new role, Lee will draw on his accumulated expertise and organizational management experience to oversee government-entrusted funds — covering economic cooperation and inter-Korean cooperation — as well as risk management and digital transformation.
Under the Export-Import Bank of Korea Act, standing directors are appointed and dismissed by the minister of finance and economy upon recommendation by the bank's president. Lee's term began June 8.
